DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING BUT THE STORY, AND MY OC
Why You're the One
(Warning, contains fluff at the end)
Dave, I
know we've been great friends for a while now. And you may have
noticed that I've been acting rather strangely when I'm near you now.
I can explain that... You see, back at school, you already
know I work on the school's newsletter by the way; the problem is
that I'm the only girl in the newsletter group. All the other guys
often tease me and occasionally humiliate me for that. Like
one time, when I was working on a huge story, one of the boys
snatched my story and shredded it. He said that I "should be
more focused on cooking and makeup tips!" I splashed a cup of
hot co-co on his face for that, but it did little to stop those words
from hurting me. That's just one of several incidents that
happened to me. One day, after I got home from school, I got into my
bed and cried my heart out. My mother comforted me and told me that I
should try a summer camp to get away from all of the stress. When
I leaned that your camp had a newspaper activity, I was so eager to
help out. Unfortunately when I learned that it was run by you and
your brother, I was pretty nervous at first. I was afraid that you'd
tease me like those boys at school. But you, Dave, you
welcomed my contributions with open arms. You said you greatly
appreciated what I have given. That's when and why I'm acting so
awkward around you. I look forward to seeing you soon. Alexa,
Your Best Friend
2 Days Later...
I had just walked into Fava cabin where Dave was waiting for me so we can get started on the weeks issue of The Bean!;
"Alright Dave, I got some interesting ideas here for a front page stor-" He grasped my hand, I blushed and looked up to see him looking at me.
"Alexa," he said, "I just got your letter, and I now know just what you need..." He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. I was, of course, at first surprised. Then I began to kiss him back, dropping my folder on the ground as I grabbed his other hand.
When we released, I looked at him and said, "Dave... thank you." And we embraced each other, knowing our friendship has gone up a great level.
Told ya there'd be fluff at the end.
