Will you marry me?
Will you marry me.
One question, looking for one answer. A yes or a no. But it's never really that simple is it? There's always a reason why you should say yes or why you should say no, and you have to figure out if the reason is worth it, or if you should ignore it and go with the other answer.
As Kate Beckett looked at the man she loved kneeling in front of her, holding that ring up, all these thoughts ran through her head. Why she should say yes, why she should say no. How happy he would be if she said yes, and how devastated he would be if she said no.
She wanted to say yes, but should she? There were so many reasons to say no right now. Her new job, his other marriages that they have yet to discuss, Alexis…just to name a few.
But all that aside, she loved him. And in the end, it really was that simple. Yes there will be hard times and obstacles, but isn't that the case for everybody? No matter how right it might seem on paper, everybody has a reason to say no. All that really matters is if you have a reason to say…
"Yes."
