Knight and Sun

A prince loved a girl but she didn't love him back
For her heart it belonged to a knight dressed in black
He loved her too, no matter what he might say
But he wanted to protect her so he pushed her away
She wouldn't let him, she refused to run
He didn't want her tainted, she was his sun
His light in the darkness, his one source of warmth
He was her knight, he didn't want her harmed
But after learning her past and how they were destined since birth
He finally allowed himself to love her more than anyone else on earth
But an evil one fearing her power
Took her away and locked her in a tower
No one could find her so they finally stopped
But never him he refused to give up
He would search for her every night and day
Till he finally found her one miraculous Christmas day
And on that night they confessed their love
The moon was their witness shining from above
He pledged her his heart from now until forever
And she gave him hers with equal fervor
But the evil one enacted his horrible plan
And the inevitable battle finally began
The battle was short and good had won
That was the outcome between her knight and the evil one
But then her knight from his injuries he fell
She decided to give up her powers to make him get well
Thought there would e problems they would face them together
After all they had promised now until forever
Now though, they would be feeling happiness beyond compare
Enjoying a love not found just anywhere
No matter what the problem they wouldn't run
Since her was her knight and she was his sun
