I don't own Bleach. That privilege belongs to Tite Kubo. Hail the Almighty Kubo. Name of this fic is also the name of a song by Richie Sambora. I was listening to it as I wrote this story and thought it would work well although it has nothing to do with the plot.

Without further ado, on with the story.

Ichigo POV

When I first met you, I knew I had seen you somewhere. Maybe in the street. But that night, I had a dream. The same dream I have had for a couple of months before. the vision of my official Shinigami training. How could I have had this dream before seeing you for the first time? It's impossible. But somehow it happened. Now I'm here watching you as you prepare the Senkaimon. I'll be away for 2 weeks saving Rukia. That's 2 weeks without you.

I want to tell you how I feel but I can't. I won't have time once you open the Senkaimon and I don't want to distract you from doing it. My focus right now should be on saving Rukia. But all I can think about is you. Your physique and skill. Your blond hair and green eyes will always be at the front of my mind. I didn't need the last few days training. I was already strong. I just sustaining as an excuse to be with you for longer. More time watching you wield your zanpakuto in your strong hands. There is no others solution to the equation in my mind. Nothing will stop me coming back on the road to home. I'll be coming home to you. To tell you how much I love you Kisuke.

Kisuke POV

Ah Ichigo. I'm gonna miss you when you're gone. I enjoyed training you for those 10 days. Sure, we may have almost killed each other. But that's cause I love you. I don't want you to die. That's why I had to push you last your limit. I've felt this way since we first met. You're an incredible young man. Your willingness to sacrifice yourself to save your friends. I'd hope you'd be willing to die for me. But that's not going to happen is it *small gear tries to escape*. I really do love you. There's no other explanation for this feeling. I've never felt this way about anyone before. Never had to hold years back for anything like this. Anyone like you. Even Yuroichi has never witnessed my feelings. I'm trying so hard to wait till you come back. I want to tell you now but I respect you enough to not embarrass you in front of your friends. Not to mention I'll feel like a fool of you dont love me back. No, I'll wait till you get back. Stay safe Ichigo. Now that I've met you I can't live without you. Karakura Town will not be home without you. Please come back home.

"Ok. Everything is ready. Are we all clear on the mission ahead? Good. Yuroichi, keep an eye on them." Everyone nods.

Kisuke briefly glances towards Ichigo before opening the gate. Seeing something that looks like pain in each other's eyes, Kisuke turns away again "Don't die" he whispers.

He doesn't know if he had being the only one to hear, but Ichigo smiled to himself. Did his Sensei just tell him not to die? 'Is he really that worried about me?'

"I won't" he whispers back before running into the Senkaimon with everyone else.
