Fear. Hope. Anger. Desperation.
These were only some of the emotions running through Alex Rider as he ran for his life.
Fear because he was more likely to be killed, rather than escape the people who were after him. He feared for his life. He feared the consequences if his captors caught him. He feared for his future. He feared for his loved ones. Sabina. Jack. Tom. He feared that MI6 would control his life forever. Alex Rider feared that he would never be normal.
Hope because although he didn't have that much faith, he still hoped that MI6 or ASIS would come and rescue him. He hoped that they would help him. He hoped that he would get away from here before he was killed. He hoped that this was his last mission. He hoped that he could leave the world of espionage behind him. Alex Rider hoped that he could make it out of all this alive.
Anger because all of this was MI6's fault. They brought him into this world, they were responsible, and they were the ones who kept forcing him to do these suicidal missions. He was angry because this isn't the life he should be living. He was angry at his uncle for not telling him about any of this, for preparing him for a life he didn't want to live. Mostly, Alex Rider was angry at himself for allowing all of this to happen.
Desperation because he was desperate to get away from his captors. He was desperate to escape MI6's clutches. Desperate to be free from the world of espionage. He was desperate to be a teenager. Desperate to stop the pain that was caused both to himself and to others every time he cam home from a mission. Alex Rider was desperate to live a normal life again.
