Tears of a Star
Shining like the light of Heaven
Glittering tracks outline
The contours of your Sadness
Sweet liquid Misery flows
As you lay
Broken
And shattered.
Your optics bleed out
Anguish
And Pain; Horror.
But in the depths,
Beneath those things,
I see love.
Impossibilities,
Created from blind realities
I see outlined in your shimmering optics
Make me think your tears are worth more
Than sightless fury
Cyclones of aimless anger
Or endless bouts of uncontained and uncontrollable hate.
My little Star,
I see your tears,
Your frightened stare
As you cower away from me
But you can't hide,
For your tears sadistically attract me to you,
And I can't help the way you make me act.
Break for me,
My little Star,
And maybe then
Your tears will have meaning.
A/N: The title of this poem was kinda taken from TuPac's "Tears of a Star" poem, which I didn't get to read, but, neh, I liked the title. My sister also wrote one, which inspired me to write this in the first place.
