Prologue: The Summer Break

Ok so it's another year at the same school, with the same people, the same old teachers and the same infinite amounts of homework. Its going to be the same as it was last year and will be next year, its nothing new, nothing to get excited about…or so I thought.

I shouldn't complain, I mean how many girls find out that their a witch and get to go to a kick – ass school, not many I can tell you. But the minority that does go should be well pleased. So why am I so bored? It's not as if I haven't been doing anything over the holidays, I've been working at this hotel to earn some cash, unfortunately I spent most of it on revamping myself. I now have a new wardrobe full of gorgeous new clothes and I've completely changed my look because…well I've grown up, I'm no longer this little girl that spends her whole life in the school library staring at a page covered in words, I'm more…. Umm…of a teenager with mood swings and attitude. Woah I have changed a lot!

Well it happened over the summer break. Mum and Dad had booked a holiday just for the two of them because they thought I would be at The Burrow with Harry and Ron. That back – fired as the Weasley's and Harry were also going on holiday to Australia, they were taking Harry because he helped to pay for it. So I was going to have to stay at home on my own if it wasn't for my cousin Anita. She is student from London University and was going to be visiting relatives through the break if my parents weren't going away. She agreed straight away. I was in two minds about it, it was great to think that I wouldn't be alone over the summer but every since I was 10 she had made it her mission to mould me into this beautiful young women. I had avoided her for most of the past 5 years and the thought of be spending 6 weeks with her was daunting, but what could I do?

The next day she arrived and after Mum and Dad left she came up to my room and started fiddling with my hair. It was torture, I had no control she'd just ignore me if I protested about anything and carried on.
