Dean handed Sam the envelope containing freshly-minted credit cards. He stared at the over-sized letter he still held, caught in memory.

"Lemme see," Dean pestered as Mary settled into the rocking chair with the just-retrieved mail. She gave Dean an envelope and watched as her four-year-old son struggled to read the printing. "Urg-ent no-ti-ce," he sounded out. "What's that, Mommy?"

"It means important or special." Mary took the letter and tossed the sweepstakes notification into the wastebasket. "I've got a different idea of what's special." Mary patted her burgeoning stomach, then ruffled Dean's hair.
