A Little bit of pride

READ FIRST: This does not follow the last two book so Draco is not a death eater and they go to school for the 7th year.
"Granger is there ever a time you don't have your nose in a book" Draco asked walking into the common room we shared as head boy and girl.
"Yes there is actually" I said closing my book.
"What when you sleep" he scoffed taking the chair across from mine. He claimed the big black leather chair the moment we entered the room. It was the only thing black in a room that was decorated in our house colors which made for a Christmassy room.
"You could read a book some time it could do you some good" I said tersely.
"And you could learn to really fly but I don't see that happening" Draco said staring into the fire.
"I would do that before you would finish one of my novels" I said shaking the book I was reading.
"You're on give me that book I'll give it a month at the most" Draco's said taking the book from my hands.
"What" I stammered
"If in a month's time I have this book done and you still can't fly you have to do what I say for a week and the same is if you win the bet" Draco said
"Fine" I said scared but I could back down now.
"What is this about any ways" Draco asked
"Well it reminds me a bit of us except the end mind you" I said smiling there was no way he was going to finish it now.
~one week later~
"Ahh ok harry we have to go down" I said giving the broom a hateful look as we landed.
"ok we'll try later unless you want Malfoy to win. I know he helped win the war and but I still want him to lose this bet" Harry said determinedly.
"I still don't get this huge rivalry between you two" I said shaking my head
"I blame Snape he pitted us against each other from the start" Draco said walking up from what it looked he was a third of the way through the book.
"That and up until last year you were an obnoxious git" Harry said.
"By the way granger I can see the resemblance of us" Draco said closing the book.
"What does she have you reading" Harry asked.
"Something by a muggle author" Draco said handing the book to harry. Harry took one look at the book and burst in to laughter.
~two weeks later~
"So how is the flying lesson's going" Draco asked walking in to the common room.
"Just fine thank you and the book" I asked.
"Oh great but I think we could have this ending" he said setting the book right on top of the school work I was doing.
"Sorry what" I asked
"Well with my father as Lady Catherine, and you and me as Darcy and Elizabeth" He said
"But you don't like me that way" I said surprised.
"You're almost as blind as Elizabeth it took her a long time to figure it all out" draco said, "now kiss me"
"What" I asked
"You have to do what I want for a week" Draco said before capturing my lips in a kiss
