Sasuke's Confession

Sakura sat in the room of the inn alone. Team Gai and the Rookie Nine were on an S-class mission which they knew would take months to complete. Well, most of them anyway, Sai, Chouji, Lee, Shino, and Kiba were on a mission in the Land of Waves which would take six months to complete. So Lady Tsuande sent the rest of them on this high ranked mission. She shared a room in the inn with Tenten, Hinata, and Ino, three other Kunochi; while all the boys shared a room. At this exact time everyone except her was out doing something. Naruto and Hinata, who have been dating for almost two years now, were out for a walk with each other. Shikamaru and Ino were off somewhere training together; Neji and Tenten were out sparring with each other, and Sasuke, just thinking of him made her feel strange. She still loved him of course, but she couldn't stop thinking about that day 6 years ago when he knocked her out and left her lying on that park bench. When he returned when they were 16 after killing his older brother, Itachi Uchia, and Orchimaru, her entire outlook on him changed. They were 18 years old now, and Sasuke's attitude toward her has changed a lot.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" She called out.

"It's me." Sasuke's voice came through the door, "Can I come in?"

"Sure." Sakura replied.

Sasuke entered the room, and the first thing Sakura noticed was that he wasn't wearing a shirt, or shoes; well of course he wasn't wearing any shoes, but still. He sat down next to her on the bed. Sakura tried to, but was failing, to hide the blush that spread across both her cheeks.

"Can I talk to you?" Sasuke asked.

"Sure." Sakura replied. "What's wrong?" She asked noticing an expression on his face that she had never seen before.

Sasuke took a deep breath, before starting.

"Sakura, I should've have told you this a long time ago. You've always been there for me and I've been so cruel and ignorant. I feel like I never deserved all your kindness; but I guess I only acted like that because I was trying to hide my true feelings."

"What are you saying Sasuke?" Sakura asked while the blush only spread across her cheeks and grew darker.

Sasuke tried to control himself, but then he decided he couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed her by the waist, and a surprised gasp escaped Sakura's lips as she was placed on his lap and brought against his muscular bare chest. Sasuke wrapped his arms around her, holding her close.

"Sasuke…?" She breathed weakly. "What are you…?" She was interrupted by Sasuke's lips crushing against her own in a passionate kiss.

It only took Sakura about three seconds to register what was happening; and before she knew it she was kissing him back. She wrapped her arms around his neck bringing him closer. He pulled her down on top of him, and let his hands wrap around her back and begin to roam.

"I love you Sakura." He whispered in her ear before claiming her lips once again.

They broke apart after about a minute for air and Sakura rested her head on his chest. She slowly began to caress his chest and listened to his heavy breathing and the rhythm of his heartbeat, matching her own. She then planted a trail of soft kisses on his neck and chest.

"I love you too Sasuke." She whispered lovely before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

All Sasuke could do was smile and plant a kiss on her forehead before falling asleep as well.
