Author's Note: This is entirely the most random fic I've ever done. I don't really like Twilight, but I've always felt bad for Jacob. So this is view on when Bella first came to see him in the garage. No EdBella; takes place during New Moon.

I sat in my garage, fuming. It'd been months since the leeches left, but I hadn't gotten over it yet. That jerk Cullen guy... it was a good thing he'd moved, or I'd go kill him. Seriously, leaving Bella in the middle of the woods? By herself? After dumping new like that one her?

And dumping news like that on her in the first place! I hated him before, but we all knew he was only leaving to get away from her. I wasn't unhappy about that part, but she loved the guy. And he'd done it so harshly, on such short notice.

"Jacob? Are you in here?"

My head snapped up as Bella Swan cautiously approached me from the mouth of the garage. She looked like hell, but I wasn't about to say that. So instead I yelled "Bella!" And gave her the biggest hug I could pull out of myself. (This was the only benefit of the situation- I got Bella all to myself.)

"Wow, Jake, your trucks looking really good," Bella said once I'd released her. She said it like she was dead, but I could see her eyes slowly, very, very, very, very, very, extremely slowly coming to life.

"Thanks. I'll probably have it finished within a month. Maybe I'll give you a ride." I grinned at the thought. Did I maybe see a bit of a smile on her face?

The broken smile got a teensy bit bigger. "Do you even have a license?"

"Ouch. Still looking my age?"

She bit her lip. "Is your age fifteen still?"

I shook my head in mock indignation. "No!"

She smiled, for real this time. "Then, no, you don't look your age."

This was going to be a good thing; maybe I wasn't too mad at Cullen after all.
