Minerva sat at her desk scratching at stacks of papers, but the written word was the furthest thing from her mind. It had been a long day not to mention also rather bad and painful one, the day had started with a headache and loud students on top of it. That was all small stuff compared to what had really happened, it was bad well not bad, and no, it was bad. Her mind was racing, as the memory came back to her as she began to ponder what she was going to do about this situation.
FLASHBACK
The classroom was cold as winter began to approach and engulf the school she bundled up her robes and continued to grade the papers; she had never seen such appalling work. Not a single one of them was any good, a sigh released itself from within her. Six years she had been teaching this class and they had not learned a thing, it seemed each year it got worse and even worse. Standing up she popped her back and neck, releasing another sigh she picked up the papers she had left and placed the others in her desk and locked the drawer. A stiff drink was in order to relax her, she had been wound up all day and grading the papers would take all night well into tomorrow.
Walking the cold, old corridors, she felt the winter chill hit her. Muttering a warming charm, she smiled slightly as her body felt content; the walk was silent as it should have been since it was after hours. Making it to her rooms, she greeted Godric with the password, upon walking in she felt more heat hit her due to the fire that was constantly burning in her fire place. More than heat perked her senses though, her nostrils flared as the cat within her became alert. Ginger Newts homemade Ginger Newts at that and was that almonds. Those two smells together only meant one thing, stepping silently into the kitchen she stopped dead in her tracks.
"Hello, Love."
