War... War never changes... The year is 2278, 200 years after a nuclear holocaust nearly wiped out mankind. But, stubborn as the species was, they survived. Now, one man climbs out of a Vault to find a world needing a savior... And he will bring justice.

Prologue

Hello, my name is Thor. No, no, not the god Thor – although, my family does have a long history stretching back to the days when they were Vikings. My father said that we were directly related to Lief Erickson, but how right he was I never was sure...

Regardless, you aren't here for me to talk about my family history. You're here because I'm the Lone Wanderer – the man with only himself. The guy who only shows in town when there's trouble, when there's Raiders or Super Mutants attacking. I never was one to stay with large groups. Preferred traveling – even back in the Vault.

Oh, that's right, I nearly forgot. I was one of those who lived in the Vault. Vault 101, to be precise. Far back as I remember, I lived in it, until I turned 19. That's when things went bad. The Overseer fell ill – with a strange disease. My father had to put him to sleep.

Oh, so he did do that. He did put the Overseer to sleep. But while doing it, the Overseer screamed out "murder" - or so I had been told when his friend Jonas came over to my room, and told me that father had fled the Vault. And that I had to get out before the Overseer's replacement wanted me killed.

So I bolted. I grabbed a pistol from my father's work station, and fled.

When I stumbled out of the Vault, it was a sorry sight. I remember it perfectly, too... I think that, the moment I stepped out of Vault 101, would be the best point for me to start my story of how I became the Lone Wanderer. The Harbinger of Justice, out here in the Capital Wasteland...

Anyways, this is just a little experiment in the "With member chars" stories. Basically, you make a character and I'll put him in this somehow. I've already made a different plot than in Fallout 3, so sue me if you don't like me throwing in characters others make for this. IF you want a character in, just fill this out in your review:
