A/N: Happy Halloween Guys and Girls! This is also in honor of Star Wars Episode III which comes out November 1. SQUEEEEEEE!

John surveyed the work before him. He'd managed to fashion enough stuff together for a Halloween costume. He'd managed to make a Jedi robe and held a copy of Star Wars in his hands. It wasn't exactly a Halloween movie, but he knew Teyla would like it.

He smiled pleasantly at the thought of surprising her. She had no idea that today was Halloween; the Athosians didn't celebrate anything even remotely similar. He donned the Jedi robe over his black tee shirt and khaki pants. He flipped the hood over his head.

He poked his head outside his room. The hallway was quiet. He ducked into the hallway and bounded across the hall and down to Teyla's room. He listened quietly for any noise. He heard nothing, so he knocked.

Teyla instantly opened the door, raising an eyebrow at his strange appearance.

"Trick or treat!" John stated.

"What is this, 'trick or treat'?" Teyla asked, clearly baffled.

"On this day on my planet, everyone dresses up in costumes and goes door to door saying, 'trick or treat'. Then you're supposed to give me candy or I'll pull a nasty prank."

"Regretfully, I do not have any candy to give you."

"We'll just say you owe me. Come on, we're watching Star Wars tonight."

"We?"

"As in you and me. Zelenka may show up later, Weir said she might drop by."

"What about Doctor McKay and Ronon?"

"They're setting up the rec room now." John extended a hand. "Coming?"
"Of course." Teyla replied, taking his hand. "On 'Halloween' do you dress as another person?"
"Some do. For example, I'm not really dressed as someone, but I'm dressed similarly to a Jedi from the movie."

"What is a Jedi?"

John grinned. "They're the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy." He quoted from the movie. "They're a group of people with special powers, who use those powers for good."

Teyla glanced at him with a confused expression. "There are these Jedi on your world."
John couldn't help it, he laughed, rolling into a ball on the floor. "No Teyla, they are purely fictional, but their ideals are real." He crawled to his feet. "Just watch the movie." He shook his head as they continued down the hall. "Happy Halloween Teyla." He said as they entered the transporter.
