Enjoy.

Audrey had fell to the bottom of her life.

She did love Chris, but she knew that no matter how much he tried, he could never truly feel the same. She'd always been careful, never really opening herself up to anyone, until she came to Haven that is. She'd made a few very close friends and let her guard down too many times already she'd never done that before. She met Chris, and she wasn't sure what made her do it, but she let him in anyway.

Audurey gave, and he took. It was love she wanted, but it wasn't love they were making. Every day she tried to turn the page, tried to make the story different, but no matter how hard she tried for change, every chapter read the same. Every day it just got harder.

Wanting and needing were two very different things. He didn't want her anymore like he did when they first met. She knew this was it between them.

That was what led her to where she was now, in arms of her partner, Nathan. Crying over some guy who she knew could never love her the way she loved him. She didn't often cry, so she felt especially stupid about the fact she was crying over a guy.

"I know words are never really enough at times like this, but Audrey, you're better than this. You deserve better than him." Nathan hated seeing her like this. She was his best friend, his partner; no actually she was much more than that, but he could never tell her. "Someone once told me, save your heart for someone that's worth dying for. Save your heart for someone that leaves you breathless. Don't give it away."

"That's adorable, Nathan." She laughed, pulling herself away from the hug and sorting herself out. "Look I'm sorry for bothering you with this, but thank you for being there for me. I owe you one, again."

Nathan looked across at Audrey. "You don't owe me anything. Just remember what I said."

She didn't give her next move much thought, spontaneity always worked better for her. She moved forward and joined her lips with Nathan's, definitely catching him off guard, but he didn't protest as he warmed into the kiss.

"Parker."

"All along, it had felt so wrong. But you've always been worth dying for."
