Price of Memories

She charged down the hall. With a wave of her hand the last darlek in all of existence turned to dust. The tear streaming down her cheek was cold and so filled with life, and yet the death that was there was all too visible.

Another hall. This one was filled with cybermen, another flourish and each one was turned to stone. She didn't care if she hid her powers anymore. What her sister had done had crossed a very large line. She intended to rectify the wrong.

The last corridor. She barely heard a loud bang because it sounded far away; it was the sound of the next door being blown to pieces without her noticing. She faintly felt the warmth of her blazing hair. Lit with her increasing anger.

She looked into the eyes of her sister's contorted body. It now resembled a wolf, her eyes were ablaze. A scarlet gleam lit the inner flame

"Do you realize what you have done?" Her own voice rang in the otherwise empty room.

"Do you?" the voice was not her sister's it was that of a power corrupt being.

"I did what had to be done to keep that entire planet alive. You were once human, if you can even remember that."

"I remember everything, that is why everyone shall perish, starting with the inhabitants of the tardis." Her sister's words were the only thing that could have possibly sent fear through her at that moment.

"But the Doctor is on the tardis!"

"He was the first to betray me! And even so you will be the one to watch everyone you care for burn. My only regret is that your son did not have such a suitable death."

"Does that mean he is still alive?" hope surged through her.

"No, it only means his death was quick and painless. And you weren't there to watch." Her feature contorted further looking more canine-like every moment.

Then she caught something in her sister's eyes. She made a quick decision with her gut instinct, and for the first time in hundreds of years she used her sister's real name.

"Rose, give this up, come back with us, you can still do the right thing." A look of hatred and humanity crossed Rose's face before darkness left everything broken.
