Okay I didn't like how the scene between Tessa and Jem ended up after she spilled his 'medicine', so I'm changing it.

"I'm sorry, Tessa," he said on his knees.

She wouldn't give in though, she knelt down on her knees beside Jem and pulled his face up to hers. He was now looking directly into her eyes. "No," she said quietly, "I will not leave, I don't care, James."

"Tessa, please," his eyes said something different though. He wasn't worried about her touching or inhaling the 'medicine', but rather that he did not her to see him vulnerable.

"No," she said more firmly, then picked up the fallen silver box.

"You shouldn't see me like this," he said again.

"Like what? You're picking up a mess I made, not the other way around. It is just something I spilled, not anything that you should be ashamed of," she tried to convince him.

He looked into her eyes, searching for any hint that she might be kidding, a hint that said she did not mean what she was saying, but she meant what she said and would not take it back. "Tessa," he said hesitantly.

"Yes?"

"Thank you," he said in a breath.

"For what?"

"For helping me," he explained, then started to pick up the spilled drug. Tessa held open the silver box for him to put it into to. When they finally had it cleaned up Tessa put the box on top of the dresser again, then slipped into her dress she had taken off before hand.

Jem stood up off the floor and tilted her chin up. He kissed her delicately.

"Good night, James," Tessa said as she left the room.

"Good night," he called after her.

So how was it? I don't know if I did it right. Also, early apologies if it doesn't sound that century type :) Please review and tell me how it is! :) Luv ya'll
