Lily Evans was unreachable.
James Potter tried to get through to her. He tried to convince her that he had changed, that he was different. And it was true. He had changed over the summer. But she won't listen, won't believe.
Lily Evans, with her long red hair and emerald eyes. With the aura of innocence that followed her, and even the way she didn't fawn over him and Sirius; it was all maddening.
And yet, it made him want her even more.
He wanted her in his arms, her lips touching his, her voice whispering in his ear.
He needed her.
But, he didn't have her, and she never listened.
Lily Evans, in all her beauty, was unreachable.
