Author's Notes: This is my first House fic, please be gentle. :)

In typical fashion, House burst into Cuddy's office, startling her as she was putting on her coat.
"House, what--?" He slammed the door behind himself and rounded on her, inserting himself in her personal space.
"You didn't just come up to my office to thank me for giving you those injections," he accused.
She slid her arm into her coat, buttoning it up to her neck. "I know; in fact, I believe I said almost those exact words to you five minutes ago in your office."
"And you thought I'd just let it go?" She looked up, meeting his gaze. "No, you knew that I wouldn't let it go. You knew that I'd sit in my office, letting it eat away at me until I absolutely couldn't take it anymore, and then I'd come after you." He paused, raising both of his eyebrows. "You wanted me to come after you."
"Yes," she replied, wrapping a scarf around her neck, "I deliberately implied that there was more that I intended to say to you so that you would come after me and nag me until I let it slip just exactly what I came to your office to ask."
"Fine, then why did you do it?"
"I don't know," she replied, impatiently tugging on her hat. She moved past him toward her desk, retrieving her briefcase.
"You do know," he said, limping toward her, stepping so closely into her personal space that he trapped her between his body and the desk. "You know exactly why you came to my office. There was something more you needed to say. So what is it?"
"House, get out of my way." She kept her voice low and stood up straight, looking him in the eye, "I'm serious."
"No. I'm not moving until you tell me." She blew out a breath in frustration and dropped her briefcase, crossing her arms.
"It's not important," she huffed.
"I don't believe you."
She threw her hands in the air. "What do you want from me, House? Do you want me to tell you that I came to your office to ask you to father my child? Do you want me to tell you that I stopped twice on my way up to consider the consequences?" His eyes widened as she continued to talk. "Do you want to hear how I sat in my office for over an hour after our little chat in that exam room and imagined what it would be like to have a baby with you? Or maybe you'd like to hear how I finally reached your door and chickened out when I looked at you because I knew you'd never say yes? Is that what you wanted to hear, House? Is it?!" She didn't realize as she'd been speaking that she was getting louder and louder until she yelled her final question.
He stood for a moment, stunned. She quickly dropped her face. Her eyes glistened with moisture, but no tears fell.
"I didn't know..." he said after a moment. "If I had known you were thinking--"
"Don't worry about it," she replied, still avoiding his eyes. She crossed her arms over her chest, looking away. "You wanted to know what else I needed to say, and there it is."
"You didn't ask," he stated. "Why?"
"I'm pretty sure I just laid it all out for you," she replied.
"You assumed I'd say no." He paused, and she looked up at him, meeting his eyes. "If you had asked," he paused, the corners of his mouth lifting into a small smile, "I would have said yes." She stared at him, disbelieving.
"You would have?"
"Yep."
"Seriously?"
"How many different ways would you like me to say it? Si. Oui. . Ndiyo. Da..."
"Shut up," she snapped. "You'll do this for me?"
He laughed, and after a moment, responded simply, "Yes."
