Journey to Mount Doom
Fiona sat with her great grandmother before the fire. Fiona was only 4 years old at the time. "Fiona my darling," croaked the old woman. "Yes Nana?", replied Fiona. "I don't know how much longer I will be here with you." she said. "Nana. Are you sick?" said Fiona in a concerned tone. "Sort of. I have a common cold." "Noooooooo!!" screamed Fiona. "It's ok my dear. It's only the common cold well anyhow, I don't know how much longer I will be here with you. I might be going back to Duloc soon." said Fiona's Great Grandmother. "I hate it there. It's so perfect it gives me the chills." said Fiona.
"Well I want you to have this." said the woman.
Fiona's great grandmother put a small object into her hand. It was gold and round.
"Grandma what is this?"
"I don't know. I have been using it as a door stop. Legend has it if you put this in your shoe you will be invisible."
"Wow!"
"But also it can drive you crazy. It can make you insane with power. It made one man turn into an awful annoying creature who talked without ever stopping.", croaked the woman.
"Wow! I hope I never run into a beast who talks a lot. Especially a furry gray horse-like one that is friends with an ogre!", said Fiona.
"If that happens then my name isn't Sue."
"Your name is Edna." said Fiona.
"Oh then you better watch out for that beast." said Edna.
