This is a rewrite of the first five chapters of my other fanfic, it has the same title. Don't worry, followers of the first one, I shall update that one as regularly as I can spit out 1,000 words. Also, I'm bending the Guardians of Childhood series a bit. And please try not to
Prologue:
It was 4 years after the battle with Pitch. They hadn't seen Pitch for a while, and that was deemed suspicious by the majority of the guardians, so Jack was sent to scout out his lair.
"Hello? Any shadow there?" He called out. Some spiders scuttled across the floor, surprised at the noise. Or…scared at something (or one) else? "Pitch…? Random creepy crawlies…?"
He stepped on something and it caved in on itself. He stepped back in surprise. "What the-"
He was interrupted when he bent down to look at the stone he stepped on before sliding under and out. It groaned as a forgotten, musty, old tunnel came into his vision.
He cautiously stepped in, a feeling of foreboding showing itself as his heart shuddered. In the natural cool gloom of the secret passageway, Jack felt his supernatural body temper start to frost over the area around him.
On a dusty pedestal, under the scarce light source coming from somewhere above, was a crumbly, old, box.
"Alright, seriously," he shouted to an empty room. "I got all 'gloom and doom', wondering if something was gonna jump out and eat me, and all for a stupid, old, crumbling, box?!"
He grabbed the box Indiana Jones style, put a block of ice on the pedestal ("Just in case!" Jack feebly replied.), and ran up the passageway's stair. Nothing broke or fell behind him, but he nearly got his foot chopped off by the closing stone. He set the box down on a small secluded study desk. Jack looked at one of the papers on it and nearly choked. He snorted. "Who knew Pitch read fanfiction?"
He shoved all the paper away from the middle of the desk, and set the moldy box down. He noticed something hanging off of it. Jack grabbed it and yanked it out. "A locket?"
He opened the box and saw it was full of teeth. About 24 impossibly preserved teeth. He thought all the teeth had been recovered! Odd…almost as odd as the type of fanfiction Pitch apparently read. He shuddered, recollecting it.
He checked the rest of the room, and, finding nothing, he left to tell the Guardians about the strange teeth.
Did you like it? If so, please pop a review, not a weasel. If possible, since I've become obsessed with them, can you put a comma in it, if you do?
