AN: New story. From me. And not updating my other stories. Well, I need a break from the writing same thing over and over. Thus I want to experiment with a crossover story. This is inspired by Kingdom Hearts: Cody's Story by TDDolphin, which is a great story and one of my favorites. But anyways, onto the story

Chapter One: Dive Into Heart and Awakening

Falling. Falling. Falling. Then the black, buzz cut haired boy with grey eyes opened his eyes.

"Where am I? I've never imagined this before." Brick rubbed his eyes as he looked around to see where he was.

He saw he was standing on some kind of stained glass mural with a picture of a girl who looked similar to a princess. Surrounding the yellow and blue dressed girl with short black hair was seven pictures of strange looking men with animals decorating the remaining area in their own circles.

"This… is definitely strange. And I was on Total Drama." Brick grumbled under his breath as bad memories were brought up and he looked beyond the mural and saw nothing but pitch black darkness.

"So much to do. So little time." A strange voice emanated over the room, or wherever Brick was, "But take your time. Don't be afraid. The way is still shut."

"Huh?" Brick looked around to find a person but couldn't see anyone. Suddenly three lights fell to the floor.

"Now step forward. Can you do it?" The voice said as the light faded to show three pedestals with weapons on them. The first Brick saw was a sword with a yellow handle and approached it.

"Power sleeps within you. If you give it form, it will give you great strength. Choose well." The voice told the military cadet as he scanned over the sword.

"The power of the Warrior. Invincible courage and unending strength. A sword of terrible destruction. Is this the path you choose?" The voice asked and Brick immediately shook his head and backed away. He knew that if terrible destruction was part of it, it would be no good.

Next he approached what looked like a staff with a strange symbol that looked like a mouse head on it.

"The power of the Mystic. Inner strength and overflowing curiosity. A staff of wonder and ruin. Is this the path you choose?" The voice once again asked and Brick shook his head again. Once again, he didn't want to bring anything bad upon anyone.

Then he walked to the shield with the same symbol and a red outline and touched it.

"The power of the Guardian. Kindness to aid friends and protect. The ability to repel all. Is this the path you choose?" The voice asked and Brick nodded and picked up the shield and strapped it to his arm.

"Your path is set. What will you give up in return? Throw one into the darkness." The voice told Brick who glanced over the weapons and grabbed the staff and power of the Mystic and threw it as far as he could into the darkness. Who knows what trouble could be brought with magic.

Then he saw the sword disappear and appear in his hand. He raised an eyebrow as he hadn't done anything with it.

"Sword and Shield. The wish to protect all close to you. Able to fight off the darkest of shadows. This shall be your path. It is all now set." The voice informs Brick as a green aura envelops him and the ground is being covered in darkness and he suddenly fell.

Brick once again looked around to see himself on another mural of a blonde haired girl, with her hair in a bun, in a silver ball gown with medieval looking pictures of castles and towers surrounding her, along with a pumpkin looking carriage. He also noticed a pair of slippers on both sides of the mural.

"There will be times you have to fight." The voice said as a strange shadow appeared at Brick's feet and he jumped back in surprise. The shadow started blinking its bright yellow eyes and scratched its antenna. Brick looked a bit scared, "Keep your light burning strongly."

"Glad I have this." Brick looked at the sword and shield. He held the sword tightly in his right hand and the shield on his left.

"You have gained the power to fight!" The voice yelled as the shadow lunged at him and he swung his sword into its head and it dissolved as five more of the same creatures appeared. He spun around and saw himself surrounded.

"This has got to be a dream, right?" Brick asked as he blocked a lunge from one shadow with his shield and stabbed it. He then swung and knocked three of them back and stabbed the other behind him as the others relunged him and he was pinned to the ground. He struggled for a minute as he started seeing a lot of darkness and felt himself get very scared until a light shot out of the shield and the shadows disappeared.

"This feels like it's one of those online games." Brick got up and brushed himself off of dust.

"All right. You got it." The voice praised Brick and he puffed his chest out in pride as the darkness once more overtook the mural and Brick felt himself plunge into it. As he opened his eyes he saw himself on the beach of Wawanakwa Island.

"Why am I here again?" Brick muttered as he saw three figures on the dock. He walked over to them and recognized them as Jo, Scott and Lightning. Not even close to his favorite people.

"What are you three doing here?" Brick asked them and Jo turned around and he saw nothing in her eyes.

"What are you so afraid of?" Jo said in the mysterious voice's, well voice. Brick sighed as he realized he was still dreaming.

His worst fear may have been the dark, but he was still hella scared of other stuff. But yeah, the dark.

"Being lost in dark." Brick answered and the dream Jo raised an eyebrow.

"Is darkness really that horrible?" Dream Jo asked as she faded away and Scott turned around.

"What do you want out of life?" Scott asked and Brick rolled his eyes at the person asking this. This coming from a guy who only looked out for himself.

"To protect those who can't do it themself." Brick answered and the dream Scott's eyes glanced to the sky.

"Is there so many that need protection?" Dream Scott asked as he faded and Brick nodded solemnly.

"If one person needs protecting, I wish to be there for them." Brick smiled and looked down at the water as Lightning spoke.

"What's most important to you?" Lightning asked and Brick smiled.

"Keeping my friends safe." Brick smiled as three people popped into his head. First was a redheaded girl that always seemed shy, but always knew how to stand up for herself. Zoey. Then, there was an indian boy with spiky hair who always struggled to make friends due to his mental condition. Mike. Then, there was a small in height, but large in heart, girl with blonde hair who loved nature that he accidentally betrayed once. Dawn.

"Is friendship such a big deal?" Dream Lightning asked as he faded away as darkness overtook the island and Brick smiled.

"Of course it is." Brick said as he fell onto another mural that looked like a sleeping girl with three weirdly dressed women above her with pure green vines with some black vines surrounding her as well.

Suddenly a bright light fell down onto the center of the mural and a weird, white door appeared. Brick approached the door in hopes of waking up.

"The closer you get to the light, the stronger your shadow becomes." The voice warned him and Brick turned around to see his shadow grow up into the dark sky and into a looming creature. Its head was covered in pure black tentacles, actually looked to be made up of them except for its' eyes. It had a heart shaped hole on its stomach and had tiny wings on it's back.

Brick summoned the sword and shield from earlier that had somehow disappeared during his brief dream visit to Wawanakwa. The shadowy giant proceeded to slam its hand into the ground and hit Brick with a shockwave that he was knocked back by and was barely able to hold onto the edge of the mural. He pulled himself back up and quickly blocked a barrage of strange purpley energy bullets and reflected them back at the shadow's face and it was barely fazed.

"Fuck." Brick muttered as he jumped over another shockwave, but this time more shadow creatures from earlier emerge from the ground. Brick swung all of them off of the edge as he stabbed the giant's hand and it didn't flinch. Brick then proceeded to climb its arm up to its head and bashed its head with the shield. The creature then used its other hand and picked him up and threw him back. The sword reappeared in his hand just in time to stab the ground and stop him from flying further back.

"But don't be afraid. And don't forget…" The voice started saying as the door shone behind the giant shadow creature. Brick grunted as he blocked another energy attack and ignored the voice. He jumped into the heart shaped hole and saw a floating heart that was enveloped by a purple energy. Suddenly a new weapon appeared in his hand and his sword and shield disappeared.

The new weapon had a black grip with a silver, heart shaped hilt. The blade was curved in the shape of a regular sword with a black metal coating it with a camo colored tip. But the weirdest part was the key part of it having green, brown and black teeth with a keychain attached to the edge of the hilt and grip that was a series of dog tags that ended off with three pronged crown on the end of it.

Brick grasped it in his right hand and it felt just right, like it was made tailor for him. Then the giant creature attacked again, this time trying to reach for Brick but the new blade shook and shot a beam at the purple heart and suddenly it turned pink and floated into the darkness.

"You hold the mightiest weapon of all." The voice told Brick as the sword flew into the air and followed the heart to the sky. Brick then felt the ground shake and the mural broke into millions of pieces and Brick fell into the dark of the dream.

"Get me out of the darkness!" Brick screamed in terror as he kept falling as a bright light burnt his vision and he heard one last thing from that voice.

"So don't forget. You will be the one to open the door." The voice said from seemingly further away as the light overtook Brick's vision and himself.

Brick then shot up out of bed and looked around to see himself in his room at Playa de Losers. It was a sparse room with only a bed, a dresser and a picture on said dresser of his first day at military school, just after his buzzcut. It was a memorable day to him for sure. He didn't pack much for the show and made sure to only have the bare essentials.

"Brick, you awake? It's noon already." He heard a voice say as they knocked on his door and hey put on his usual outfit of a green shirt with jean shorts, his athlete's feet boots, and his dog tags given to him by his grandfather and also the one given to him after joining the academy.

Brick then opens his door to see Zoey there. She had just gotten there yesterday after Lightning decided to take Cameron to the finals. And today was said finals. They had to head over there around two o'clock.

"Are you okay Brick? You've never slept that late." Zoey asks, clearly concerned and he shakes his head.

"I'm fine. Just dreams keeping me occupied. Give me ten minutes and I'll be down to the pool." Brick told his friend and she nodded before running off to meet up with her boyfriend. Brick then headed into his bathroom to prepare for the day and just as he washed his face to shave, he looked out the window and saw a strange door appear above the Wawanakwa sign. It was just a mile from the Playa and he could see it clearly. He opened the glass door of his room and stared at the door.

"I'm here to see the door of this world. This world has been connected." Brick hears a stranger's voice say in his head and he looks down at the docks of the Playa and sees a brown cloaked figure. Brick proceeds to run down to the docks, past his friends and others, who give him a strange look and don't seem to notice the man.

"Who are you? This is private property." Brick questions and the man chuckles.

"Tied to the darkness. Soon to be completely eclipsed." The man ignored Brick's question and just stared at the door above the sign. Brick thought about it for a second and questioned why everyone else hadn't seen it.

"Where did you come from?!" Brick yells as everyone at the pool starts going to the docks and sees Brick talk to nothing. The man proceeded to grab Brick by his neck.

"You do not yet know what lies beyond the door. There is so very much to learn, but you understand so little." The man chuckled as Brick gasped for air as the man held a tight grip around his neck. Brick clawed at his neck to be let go. Dawn walked closer than everyone else and tapped Brick on the shoulder.

"There is nothing there. But you look in pain." Dawn turned Brick around who just bit his lips as the man appeared once more behind Dawn.

Brick pushes Dawn aside and lunges at the man who just sidesteps and pushes Brick into the water. Brick comes up for air and sees the man point at the door.

"A meaningless effort. One who knows nothing can understand nothing." The man mocks him before he disappears into a dark portal. Brick just growls as he gets pulled onto the docks by Zoey and Mike.

"What in the world is up with you?" Mike asked as I shook the water off of me.

"So you didn't see that man. Must have to do with my dream." I mutter under my breath and Zoey looks confused.

"You mean that dream that kept you asleep until ten minutes ago?" Zoey asked for clarification and I nodded my head. Dawn tilted her head in confusion as the crowd started to disperse back to the Playa.

"In the dream, I was on strange glass murals and a strange voice talked to me and I was given a weapon that half looked like a key." I explained and they tilted their heads in confusion.

"Eh, I've had weirder dreams." Mike shrugged before quietly walking away with a look that looked like he had dreams he wish he could forget. Hey when you're in the army, they train you to read expressions. Well not yet. He just looked into that himself.

"A key weapon? Sounds like something Izzy would come up with." A voice came from a beach chair on the end of the docks and Brick looked and saw Noah, the bookworm from the original cast, reading a book.

"I know right?" Izzy popped up in front of Noah and pushed him into the lake. Not very nice, but that's how she's always acted before.

"Ugh! Izzy!" Noah yelled as he popped out of the water and Izzy jumped onto his shoulders and dove into the lake. Brick grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the water.

"Why isn't there any sane person here?!" Noah yelled in frustration and he shook his head, just as Brick did.

"McLean/Chris has made everyone go insane." Everyone at the pool yelled back and they weren't wrong. Nobody on this show went home the same as the way they entered.

"Let's just hope he'll be the worst source of problems in our life." Zoey said optimistically and Noah sighed.

"You've doomed us all by saying that." Noah deadpanned and Brick just stared at where the door was still above the Wawanakwa sign.

"I hope you're right Zoey." Brick sighs before trudging back to his room to change out of his clothes and get ready to back head to the island, hopefully for one last time. Little did he know, he might get his wish soon.

AN: And end. To chapter one. This was fun to write and maybe me just playing a bunch of KH games for the first time helped that fact. But I like Total Drama and like the concept of this crossover of replacing Sora. I decided to do Brick because, one I didn't want to do Cody and be a copycat, and two is that he's a well written character in Total Drama that didn't get as much love as he deserved. Should have been in All Stars and gotten at least top 5. I hope I got his character down pretty well (I know I didn't have his in charge attitude, but he had other things to think about and no one to lead). There will be two party members from Total Drama as well, but none as his love interest. One original, one new contestant. And someone will replace Riku as misguided villain and there may be more villains, like Heather or Alejandro. Take a guess at who the party members are as well as the Riku replacement and the Princess of Heart. And don't worry, this will carry on to the entire series (KH1/2/3, KHCoM, KH358/2, KHRE:Coded, KHUX, KHBBS/0.2, KH3D. I have plans). I don't want anyone to think I'm only copying KH: Cody's Story, as I want to make my own choices and create different plotlines for characters that carry on beyond one story. So please don't accuse me of copying. Just being inspired. It's not a copy pasting. I hope my story can be viewed on its own without being compared to better ones. If you don't want to read this, fine. But to those who want it, I've got it. This is still an experiment for me, so please tell me how you feel. Sorry if this Author's Note is long, but this will be one of the only ones I hopefully do for this story. Please just enjoy this for what it is. A new take on KH x TD.
