Is It Enough?
(This story includes pieces from the song ''Who You Are'' by Jessie J)
This story begins two years after Tohru started to live with the Sohmas and when Kyo started to have feelings for Tohru but felt like he wasn't good enough for her.
''I stare at my reflection in the mirror
Why am I doing this to myself?
Losing my mind on a tiny error,
I nearly left the real me on the shelf
No, no, no, no.''
Kyo looked at himself in the mirror thinking about what he did to Tohru's mom feeling the guilt eat him inside. When he suddenly felt so mad at himself he started to break everything in his room while screaming ''why?'' and ''no!''. He screamed ''why me?!'' and ''No! She deserves better!'' he was throwing everything on the floor and his bracelet came off turning him into his wild uncontrollable self. At that moment Tohru came up to see what he was doing since there was so much noise, when she looked inside the room she saw him hide under his bed, scared that he might hurt her. Tohru looked around the room and kinda understood what happened; she just had to talk to him until he turned back.
She told him while sitting on the floor next to his bed:
''You know Kyo, my mom always told me this when she knew I was sad or mad at myself.''
''Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the scars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are.''
He looks at her and slowly transformed back into himself while crying and saying sorry.
''It's ok, now what was that caused you to transform, scream really loud and destroy everything in your room Kyo?''
''Looking at myself in the mirror am I really perfect for her?
I forgot what to do to fit the mold,
The more I try the less it's working,
'Cause everything inside me screams, no, no, no, no.''
Kyo looks at his mirror now in pieces but he can still see a little of himself. He thinks: ''Am I really perfect for her?'' The more he tried to be a better person it ended as a failure so the only thing he could do was give up on her.
''I…can't tell you but I'm sorry for screaming and the stuff I destroyed I'll fix them later. Oh and thanks for what you did earlier.'' He said looking away from her.
''Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the scars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
But tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising
There's nothing wrong with who you are.''
''Kyo? Why aren't you looking at me? Did I say something wrong?''
''No, but can you please leave me alone?'' he said still looking at another direction.
''Kyo I want to tell you something before I leave and if you don't look at me straight in the eyes I won't leave you alone got it?'' she said with a serious face.
''Fine'' he turned around and looked at her with a worried but a blushing expression.
''You do know that when I was small I loved the cat in the story and not because of pity but because I wanted to have as many friends as the cat and I wanted to meet this cat too. Now that I know that you're him I love you even more. I don't care if you transform into something else, I'll still love you the way you are you know? Also, when you think you're not feeling okay I'll be here for you, just like when you guys were there for me in my darkest moments. You don't have to tell me why you are sad and mad right now but just remember I'm right here for you. Everybody has a story, they don't need to tell it to the whole world, because they tell their stories, to the people who are precious and important to them and that is enough….''
