Children stop in their tracks in the midst of playing with the deceased body of their teacher, and suddenly, they realize everything. What they have done, and on top of that, they realize a world without adults and hope, is one nobody wishes to live.
The students plan and grow older, trying to rebuild the society they once knew, but it will never be the same. The highschool's are controlled by surviving adults terrified of their students, and they fear they have no say in the matter. The children soon grew up unknowing of what to do, with no parent figure for them, they turn to each other, and that was how life had gone on. For years on end, to be exact.
It's more than 50 years past the tragedy now, and crime rates are low. Each student is forced to take one simple class exam in their lifetime that strikes fear in their souls, and that test is the game that started it all.
