He used his spare key to get into her D.C home he quietly walked to the bedroom to see Kate curled up in the blankets and hugging a pillow. He sat on the edge of the end and kissed her temple he saw her started to stir.
But then she elbowed him he groaned and quickly made his way into the kitchen to find a tissue for his bleeding nose. Kate pushed back the sheets quickly and grabbed her gun.
She had the gun held up but when she saw Castle standing in the kitchen holding a bloody tissue.
"You elbowed me in the nose"
Kate put down the gun and walked over to him.
"I'm so sorry babe I thought you were someone breaking in"
"I came to visit, I know I should have called but I wanted to surprise you"
"I was actually going to visit you this weekend I was going to call you but it was up and I wasn't sure if you were awake so I was going to call you this morning"
"You were going to visit,how did you get the weekend off I thought you had paperwork?"
"I left"
"But you've worked so hard to get here, aren't the big kids playing nice with you"
Kate laughed and shook her head.
"I don't belong here Castle I belong in NYC, I'm not a FBI agent I'm a detective I'm Richard Castles partner in crime not Mcords"
"I would kiss you right now but my face kinda hurts"
"Do you want some ice?" Kate asked.
"Please"
Kate got some ice out of the freezer and placed it on his nose.
"Ow" He jumped. "Gently"
"Sorry"
"So when are you moving back to New York"
"I was going to start packing today?"
Castle put the ice down on the counter and pulled her into him.
"Why don't we pack tomorrow and we could take a tour of the city?"
Kate wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You've had a lot of book tours here haven't you seen DC"
"No I'm not really allowed to explore cities when I'm on book tours due to Gina and Paula thinking i would get in trouble"
Kate chuckled. "I can see the reason why"
"So exploring?"
"Yes we can explore"
They spent the whole day exploring the city hand and hand.
