Don't own it. As usual.

Yeah, well, here's another Luke/Annabeth story because I love the pairing. Lemme know what you think, but no flames.

They had been out swimming in the Sound that night. The moon had been full and the sky cloudless, and the air had been so warm as to make the chill of the water comfortable and welcome.

They had swum and splashed and laughed until exhaustion and forced them to wade from the water to collapse on the sand with their clothes clinging to their skin and the moonlight guilding their heads with silver.

Luke had flopped on his back on the sand, still breathing rather hard and a chuckle still occasionally escaping his lips as he wrapped Annabeth in his arms and held her close. She had turned to look at him, a smile gracing her face. And Luke had returned her gaze, his eyes reflecting the starry sky and droplets of water still glittering in his hair.

Everyone else would always remember him as the traitor who did the right thing in the end. The betrayer who ultimately chose to repent. But she could never remember him that way. When she thought of him, she'd always see him as he had been that moonlit night: a starry-eyed handsome hero with a smile on his face- and diamonds in his hair.

So? Yeah, it's short, but it's sweet! Review! Thanx! ~Seeker
