Pairing: Luke/Asch

A/N: Written for V-day~ I normally don't do fics for holidays... I just couldn't get this idea out of my mind. Angry fluff is what I call Asch and Luke together. Enjoy~

There was a tradition that he had heard and learned about a while back, but gave little thought to it. A day he never had a reason to get into. Who would want chocolates and to kiss someone? It had sounded gross when Guy had first told him the tale, coupled with a bit of teasing at why he didn't do it for Natalia. He never did it, it sounded so stupid. That didn't explain why he was knocking on the inn door before him, a few strands of his short red and orange tipped hair floating past his face. Green orbs were wide with worry, his body rocking back and forth. In his other hand, he held an item. The best he could find and hopefully useful to his lover.

"I know you're in there Asch!" The replica called out softly, gaze darting to both sides of the hallway to make sure no one was around to hear. It was their little secret and he was okay with that. However, at this moment he wanted to talk to him and well… Go about his whole gift giving business.

He heard the soft grumbles and curses, before the door opened exposing the mirror image of himself, hues narrowed in annoyance. It was all the usual for his lover. He merely pushed past him, glancing around the room, before turning to him. "Do you know what today is?" He asked softly, smiling shyly, before it dropped from his face.

Luke watched as the scowl disappeared, the door closing shut behind the ex-God General. "Not particularly. Why did you just randomly show up on the one day I asked you not to?" The words emerged as a growl, yet it didn't stop the younger of the two from stepping forward.

Chocolates? Well they were overrated when you were with a man who had a title like Bloody. "Today is Valentines Day! And so here." He pulled out the new blade he'd found, a way to say he was sorry for what happened to the last one. It had somehow never made it back into the room after he dragged the other inside it for a long night. Smiling widely, a light blush moved along his cheeks. "I hope you like it."

Looking into the male's eyes, Luke wasn't sure what to expect, Asch seemed frozen even shocked into place. It wasn't supposed to go down like this. In a few steps, he closed the gap between them, grabbing his hand to place the hilt of the blade into it, before closing them tightly around the weapon. It wasn't until he kissed the other lightly on the lips that the male moved, his other arm wrapping around him to keep him trapped in place.

Hues closing, the replica hummed in approval, opening his mouth for the tongue darted out. Though he never thought he'd get a gift or a thank you, he took this as one. If Asch had told him not to show up and he did, he would have never been allowed to get so far. Certainly not to the bed where they fell.

It wasn't until a few months later when the two ran into each other again. Luke hurrying up to catch the bloodied warrior that he noticed, held tightly in his good arm was the blade he had purchased all those months ago. It was then that he learned that regardless of what he thought when he was young. Giving a gift to someone he loved and cared for felt good. To know it saved their lives was even better. Because honestly chocolates couldn't save anyone's life.

End A/N: Review? I'd love to hear your thoughts~
