Deliverance

The wise man in the storm prays to God, not for safety from danger, but deliverance from fear. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Cas sat on his bed in his room in the Mental Ward. Constantly he hears the voices of Lucifer calling him.

He sits there all alone.

Only able to think about the memories of the past he had forgotten.

Memories of both the happy times…and the sad.

As he sat there he remembered the angel name Sarah that was his dearest friend in times of trouble. She literally followed him to hell and back.

It was her that kept him safe when he was hurt.

It was his beloved Sarah that stood beside him.

He remembered how he got so angry at Dean for calling Sarah his heavenly lap dog.

How could he forget her dark brown hair, piercing green eyes, that beautiful smile.

Then the battle between sides in heaven came after Michael and Lucifer's fall to the pit.

She stayed at his side but then Greed took over.

The greed for power.

The hunger.

The Thirst.

He remembered the day she died.

After all it was…it by his hands.

He killed her because she knew she lost the beloved friend of hers.

He remembered when he stabbed her through the neck.

Her blood soaked his hands.

No, it wasn't her blood, but it was the innocent human that gave her body to Sarah.

In the end it was he who killed her.

As he pondered how he would never be able to tell Sarah his true feeling silence fell over the room.

Lucifer was gone.

Time had stopped…literally.

He finally looked up and leaning against the door was Sarah. She had the appearance before he killed her with his own hands.

"This is Lucifer's doing." He muttered.

"Really?" Sarah asked, "Is this his doing for I do not see or hear him."

"I killed you. I killed you with my bare hands." Castiel replied as he looked down at the floor.

He heard Sarah walked over to him. She sat down on her knees on the cold hard ground and lifted his head gently with her hand so she could she him face to face.

"You killed me but I hold no vengeance. I knew that you were not you. The beasts had taken over you and mixed into your sense of ending the heavenly war up above." She replied to him looking straight into his eyes.

"This is just a illusion. I should not be ale to see you." He said to her.

"Illusion or not I am here. Before I died I wanted to tell you how much I loved and adored you. I kept it hidden because if Raphael found out he would target us directly. So I kept my feelings to myself." She said as tears were starting to brim up.

"I wanted to tell you how I had fallen in love with you. You took care of me whenever I was hurt or was in need of guidance. You were always there. even when I yelled and screamed for you leave me alone you stayed by my side." He replied as he started to choke up.

Sarah wrapped her arms around Castiel and let her angelic wings appear and wrapped them around Castiel.

"It is time that we go home. Lucifer has been banished from you mind forever. I am here to take you home." Sarah replied to him.

"Home … I thought I would never hear that again." Castiel replied with a smile.

As time suddenly resumed sound of wing flapping was heard.

Meg went to check on Castiel to see that he was gone.

As she continued to walkd she smiled.

"Its about time you found him girly." Meg said as she walked away from the room.

A single white feather on the bed was all that was left.
