What about life?
Time after time I try to please,
But everyone just wants to tease.
My life is a joke that will never end,
They tell me to wait so my wounds will mend,
But what do they know about the pains I endure?
Nothing you say will ever be the cure.
Life is a burden that is too heavy to bear.
I keep it to myself because no one else cares.
What is here to keep me from falling into death.
I can't see anything that will stop me from holding my breath.
If my life would disappear into the night,
No one would even help me fight,
To keep me here in this never ending hell,
It's like I'm stuck under some sort of spell,
Keeping me here just so that I can be tortured day after day,
What else can I do but to offer my advice and say,
To stay sane in this world you need to have a dream.
Even if it will never seem,
That it is possible to come true,
And you don't even have a clue,
Of how to make it real,
You just have to make a deal,
Promise not to give in,
And that's all you need to win.
Time after time I try to please,
But everyone just wants to tease.
