Proclaimer: I do not own any of the characters or story, but i did make up the additional character.
Chapter 1: The Infection
It spread through America and almost everyone became violent and attacked all the non-infected… Who knew the rabies virus could spread among the human population, enter their immune systems, make them dangerously psychotic and turn into horrible things?
Luckily there are a few who are immune to the virus and -as far as I know- it's only us left throughout our entire city. Bill, Francis, Lewis, Zoe and me. We met one by one as everything went haywire.
We've been trying to escape through safe places to get to a non-infected area, but we've literally run into terrible things along the way.
We've seen and fought horrible monsters like the common infected (fast and agile, but weak individually), the Hunter (can pounce on survivors from great distances), the Smoker (ensnares targets with it's long tongue from afar), the Boomer (a bloated infected whose vomit and bile blinds it's victims briefly), the Tank (huge, muscular infected that is powerful and impossibly hard to kill) and the worst… the Witch (a female infected, who is provoked by light, sound or humans that get too close. She's able to knock down the provoker in one hit and kill them quickly, if not taken out herself).
We've been moving from safe house to safe house to try and escape the virus's victims, but they've slowed us down. We have to go on top of buildings, through forests, tunnels, farms, even sewers to get past crowds of horde. This is our story…
