"When you tell a man you love him do you always start the sentence off with 'you're such a dork'?"
Kensi never looked up from the car magazine she was reading. "Well, since you're the first guy I've ever said I love you too, yes."
"Yes?" Her facial features never changed from her smooth nonchalant expression but that her knuckles ever so slightly tightened on the magazine. She was getting sloppy, Marty hid his smile.
She still didn't look up from the magazine. "Yes. I usually start my 'I love yous' with you're such a dork. You okay with that?" She wouldn't look up at him, even though he knew she knew, he was staring at her.
Marty thought about her response for a moment. He weighed the pros and cons. She sort of insulted him but he was sure she meant "dork" in the manly sexy kind of way and not the adorable geeky kind of way. Plus she did just admit that she loved him.
Yeah, he'd take that.
He plucked the magazine from her hands and tossed it onto the coffee table. Then he turned and lifted her off the couch and onto his lap.
"Hey! I was reading that!" She slapped his shoulder. Hard.
He grunted and hid his grimace, his girl packed quite a punch. Her fingers dug into his chest and she wiggled around in order to find a more comfortable position it took all he had not to groan and pull her tighter against him and instead he said, "So when you say dork you really mean 'hard core sexy undercover cop I can barely keep my hands off of' right?"
She snorted, "You're such a dork."
