Author's Note:
This is based on a song by Vermillion Lies called "Bad Man." It's really pretty and catchy, with stunning piano and vocals. (Oh man, I sound like an advertisement...)
It's been a while since I've written without any worry, so I may be a bit rusty.
This is a two-shot, mainly because I'm having writers' block. ;_;
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, or any of its characters.
(And Hidan's opinions, expressions, etc, are not my opinions or what I think or anything. XD Just to let you know.)
Hidan's face twitched into a frown. His pale hand reached into his pocket instinctively, and nervously rubbed the photograph that rested against the dark, cloth.
"Shit, shit, shit. Why the hell am I acting so..." his angry voice cutting through the frigid air, breath appearing as a cloud. His voice trailed off, searching for words to describe his feelings. "Gay?"
Hidan wasn't an articulate man...that was one flaw he would admit to. Another flaw he would admit to...well, he wouldn't go there. It was a flaw that ruined him. His life.
As he mumbled swear words to no one in particular, he reached back into the pocket of his cloak and pulled out the wrinkled picture.
His sneering face softened as he stared at the documented memory. A delicate, almost fragile, teenage girl stared ahead at a non-visible camera. Her facial features were soft with joy, a tiny smile dancing upon her rosy lips. A blush played against her pale cheeks. Milky, white eyes—framed by long, black eyelashes—gazed kindly at the camera. Pale, slender index fingers were brought together nervously. Even with a glance at the photo, anyone could tell that the girl was Hidan's opposite. Kind, caring perhaps.
A lopsided smile—though, lacking happiness-found it's way onto Hidan's pale face. "Damn, she is gorgeous," his voice was a sad, uncharacteristic whisper. A frown twisted onto his face once again.
He leaned against the brown banister of the bridge, uncaring of the frost that touched his limbs. He turned his body to face the brown banister and then leaned over it, staring at the green water below.
With a swift movement of his hands, he dropped the photograph down to the water...like he was attempting to get rid of every memory he had with the girl.
As the photo fluttered down to the fish, Hidan clenched the banister so tightly that his hands flashed white. With a sigh, he shut his striking purple eyes.
But no mattered how hard he tried to silence his..his thoughts about her... a pleading wish rushed through his overactive mind.
She's right. She's right. Shit, shit, shit. Yeah, I'm a bad...I'm a bad man. Hidan thought, slumping down to the cold concrete below.
(Another) Author's Note:
Flashback, explanations, and ending next chapter. I'd put it in this chapter, but I have terrible writers' block. ;_; Sorry!
