Christmas Shooting
It was a col day in Waycross of 2013. Aunt Mary, Aunt Lexi, Aunt Tracy and I were attending the manual EMS Christmas party. Melanie and Auntie J was to come as well but was uncharacteristically late. This mystery was solved by a phone call. Melanie had been shot.
"Kitten the other are here. Wait what's wrong?" She asked.
"Aunt Mel's been shot." I sobbed. Aunt Mary, Aunt Tray, and Aunt Lexi hugged me. They were shocked. Soon we left together. Once we got to the hospital, Auntie J was waiting. She held me too.
"How bad is it?" I asked
"It doesn't look good; she was hit in the chest. For now all we know is she has a collapsed lung. Do you want to see her?" She asked. As I walked into her room I saw her. She laid unconscious in the hospital bed. Her face was pale from the flu and blood loss from what little I could see beyond the respiration mask. Her limbs were boney. Her belly was bulbous. In the area around her chest gauze was packed. She was in bad shape I knew she wouldn't last long.
"Aunt Mel we're here. Please fight this." I said,
"We're all here for you Mel, just come back sis." Mrs. J said.
