Well, um, hello there! This is my very first LoZ fic, so I'm trying a new style of writing. It's kind of hard, because I'm so used to writing modern stuff, but this isn't really old, nor modern so I think it turned out pretty well.
Anyways, since I'm pretty bad at keeping a steady pace when it comes to beating video games, I've only just finished the Earth Temple in Skyward Sword. And I got the game at least a month ago. Yeah, I know. Sad isn't it? Anyways, enjoy.
DISCLAIMER: All rights go to Nintendo. I'm pretty sure my plot isn't that original either.
LEGEND OF ZELDA
She had been so close – nothing but a short gap between them in the Earth Spring.
A distance he could have covered within seconds. Why hadn't he moved faster? It was no matter. In the end, she wouldn't have been able to speak with him. The strange woman had forbidden it. And then she was gone, disappeared in the column of golden light.
Then the words came – the words that had stung so badly. Words that he had wished were not true.
"You have failed." No! But he had tried so hard! How could this stranger in black, this person who knew nothing about their relationship, know anything of the trials he had gone through?
She had no idea what it was like, to be so young, and to be thrust into a terrifying game where everything you cared for, everything you hoped for, was put on a line, so dangerously close to snapping.
But she knew. And her words stung so badly because, deep down, he knew. He knew she was right.
He had failed.
