The Legend of Zelda:

Ganondorf's Return

Chapter 1

It started one day, about five years after the Ocarina of Time. Link was having tea with princess Zelda in the castle. As Link drank, Zelda told him of the rebuilding of the castle.

"We now have guards covering every four feet of wall. We have four guard towers, and a castle wall that is five feet thick with iron and steel on the back. The triforce pieces have been returned and are being guarded by the goddesses spells. It seems as if everything was returning to normal again."

"But things are not normal with me", Link began. "I have a gut feeling that Ganon is not gone forever. I feel that he is near, ready to strike again. I feel that when he chooses to strike, we won't be ready, and it will be worse then before."

"I assure you", Zelda comforted Link. "If he really did come back, he wouldn't get into the castle. There is nothing to worry about".

"I believe you", Link said. "But it's just something that happened with me before."

"What happened", Zelda asked.

"Well you know when you rode from the castle that one night when Ganondorf was chasing you, when you gave me the Ocarina of Time."

"Yes", Zelda answered.

"Well when I was little, before the forest emerald. I dreamed about that night. Everything that happened that night happened in my dream."

"He's not coming back", Zelda said putting a hand on Link's shoulder.

Zelda got up and went to go into the castle.

"I hope your right", Link mumbled.

The next day Link decided to go visit the Gorons. He put on his Goron tunic and went to the city. He chatted with them and was about to leave when somebody shouted.

"Volvagia strikes again"!

"What", Link questioned. "I killed that dragon of death more than five years ago".

Now he knew he was right! The only person that had ever woken Volvagia was the King of Gerudos himself. Ganondorf was back. Link knew the Gorons would surely all be killed if he left them, so he killed Volvagia again, and then headed toward the castle.

When Link got there he ran to the courtyard only to find he was too late. He looked up at the sky and saw Zelda floating away in the oh so familiar violet gem. Then he heard the voice he thought he would never hear again.

"Puny boy", the voice said. "You are too late. Now that I have the princess, you will die, and Hyrule will be in the palm of my hand. Now you see, I will not fail this time. I underestimated you last time. I let you win; now I, Ganondorf, will rule this land, and once again, the people of Hyrule will eat from my hand"!

Link knew something had too be done. He sat down in the courtyard and began to think.
