"Aggie, don't- don't forget me," Sophie said with her dying breath.
Agatha lifted up her teary face.
"Of course I won't!" she sobbed. "You're my best friend."
But right after she said that, Sophie's head dropped and her eyes dulled. Agatha burst into tears.
Tedros embraced in a hug, and said miserably, he hated seeing her truly unhappy, "Agatha, I'm sorry; I truly am. But she's a witch, and that's what happened. I am sorry."
Hort stepped up.
"Listen, Sophie scorned me, laughed at me, and teased me, but I love her. I know my name sounds like a sickness, but I'm in love."
He ran up and kissed Sophie. She sprung alive and glowed with health.
"Hort, you saved me."
The light around them glowed gold, and they went spiraling up into the sky.
"Sophie!" Agatha yelled, but Sophie was too far away to hear her. "Good-bye!"
And Agatha remained with Tedros and the others at the School for Good and Evil, while Hort and Sophie lived out a fairy-tale in Gavaldon.
