"Shan!" Boone called. "We have got to go!" It was the first day of school, and Shannon was a nervous wreck. "Shut up, I'm coming", she replied. It's funny how she couldn't sleep last night, but now that's all she wanted to do. Neither was ready to give up summer yet.
Later… at school:
Shannon ran into Kate, one of her best friends. "So, how have you been?" Kate asked. "Shut up, Kate you saw me yesterday, when we were picking out our outfits!" "Okay, then what do you have first hour?" Kate tried again. "I have Mr. Locke", Shannon gloomily replied. "Oh well, I don't", Kate said mockingly.
Meanwhile…
"Hey, Boone! Are you trying out for football this year?" Jack shouted down the hall at his friend. "I… uh was thinking about it". Boone replied in dismay. "But you know me, all about the… uh hygiene!" Boone used a sorry excuse. "Oh, right. So, see you at try outs!" That's the LAST thing Boone needed on his already stressful first day of school.
