Sonic Saves The Day
It was Tails's idea to have marshmallows on account of it being his birthday. Everyone had given Tails a present and where keeping a surprise for him that night. Bunnie had declared that she was going to handle the actual cooking of them while Sally had managed to source a bag of them from Robotropalis. Nobody knew why they had been there, but they had grabbed it on their last mission. They gathered in the hut that served as a mess hall, but there was a problem. There where no sticks to put the marshmallows on so they could toast them over the stove.
"Oh man, I can't believe that we forgot the sticks" he said groaning. The blue hedgehog was looking at his friend out of the corner of his eye.
"Where can we get some from? We can't use the sticks from the forest, they are too dirty. And we sure can't get some from Robuttnik, can we?" he asked trying to think of something quickly so that Tails's birthday was not ruined.
"Oh hoo hah" Bunnie said in alarm.
"Whats wrong?" asked Sally.
"This here stove isn't working" the Rabbit complained.
"Great, just when we need it" Sally complained, closing her eyes. Sonic, however, had an idea.
"Could we use spikes instead?" he asked, his mind filling up with what he considered his best ever plan.
"Sure we can Sugah" Bunnie said not quite understanding Sonic.
"What are you thinking of, Hedgehog?" Sally said opening her eyes and looking at one of her oldest friends.
"Could we light a campfire outside? Just a small one so Robotnik couldn't see it if his Swatbots come searching for us" and Sonic explained his plan.
They gathered outside the huts where Rotor had lit a fire and everyone sat down round the camp fire. Everyone had been told of the plan except Tails, who they wanted to keep the secret from. Sonic and Sally came out from the mess hut and when they reached the fire, Sonic turned round and sat down with his back to the fire. Sally stuck the marshmallows onto Sonic's spikes. They slowly cooked with the heat, and everyone said that they where the best treat they had had in a long time.
"Well, looks like I save the day again!" Sonic said as he tucked into his second helping.
