Hey ya'll!
Welcome to my first fic in the Ouran fandom! It's about my two favourite characters, the mischievous twins!
Disclaimer: Sadly, no matter how many times I wish upon a star, Ouran ain't mine.
Summary: It's continuous, Kaoru thought. And we'll be trapped in this vicious circle until our deaths. Oneshot. Shounen ai. Twincest.
Warnings: Shounen ai. Twincest. The works.
Continuous
Kaoru gazed at his mirror image, which sat there next to him, commenting on how stupid their lord was. Unconsciously, the younger twin just kept on nodding. He'd learned how to tune out the boy.
Honestly, Hikaru could really ramble sometimes.
These sessions came to a rough stop however, two days later. Now Hikaru would talk to a short haired, brunette girl. The first to tell them apart.
Kaoru just watched from afar, and maintained himself distant.
He wasn't about to crush his brother's happiness for the sake of his own.
However, years flew by and Kaoru saw less of Hikaru every passing days.
The rambling sessions disappeared. The plan to make a business in fashion together disappeared. The same rooms disappeared.
And Kaoru was sacred. He'd never been so alone before.
But for the sake of his brother, he didn't voice his inner demons.
At least, until Hikaru proposed to the short haired brunette. Kaoru fixed fake smiles, all nice and easy. Haruhi, she was called.
Instantly, Kaoru had hated her. He knew there was no reason for it, it had no explanation. He just felt like twisting her little neck every time they met.
And it just turned worse as the day of the wedding drew near. She would always be there, at the mansion that had once been for the twins.
The couple even talked about babies.
Babies! At their age!
Kaoru wouldn't have it. He couldn't.
He would leave the house early in the morning, arrange various business meetings that would keep him occupied and return late in the evening.
Hikaru became concerned. He asked if he wasn't overworking himself.
With a grin, Kaoru easily replied that he was just taking up Hikaru's half of the job now that he was so busy with the wedding.
The fact that his twin completely forgot they didn't have a business together hurt Kaoru terribly. But he still smiled, seeing Hikaru buy the obviously fake excuse.
Everything went fine. Until the day came.
Kaoru managed to survive through the day without exploding or breaking down.
But when the ceremony began, he felt his temperature rise. He maintained his composure though. After all, he was the best man.
Then they asked if anyone was against the couple. Again, he kept quiet.
Finally though, when they were allowed to kiss, he coulnd't witness it. He screamed outloud.
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!"
"Kaoru! Kaoru! What is it?!"
Kaoru blinked. His dazed eyes began to focus. Up above him, he saw the ceiling of their shared room. Next to that, he saw the concerned face of his twin.
"I…had a dream,"
"Yes, you did,"
"You left me…"
Hikaru's eyes suddenly shown with understanding. He brought his brother close to him, and whispered in his ear,
"If I ever do such a thing, which will never happen, just hit my head,"
Kaoru smiled, and nodded against his twin's chest.
Hikaru suddenly grabbed the younger's twin chin, and brought his face upwards. After gazing at each other's eyes, their lips met for a long kiss.
It's continuous, Kaoru thought as they kissed. And we'll be trapped in this vicious circle until our deaths, hiding from everyone.
"Now then, how about a birthday present?"
"Our birthday isn't until another four months,"
"An early birthday present then,"
But we don't really mind, do we?
And that's that!

Til next time!
