A/N: Okay, so this is my first Red Beauty story. So sorry if it sucks, but like I said: it's my first one. I know this chapter is short, but don't worry the next ones will be much longer. If you like it, please let me know, also if you want to see any other characters appear later on, let me know and I'll try and do that for you. Now sit back, relax, and I hope you enjoy! :)
Red didn't know what possessed her but before she knew it, she was jumping out of bed and running out into the cold, snowy night, and her cloak left behind on her bed. Looking around she saw the coast was clear and she quickly transformed into her counterpart: the wolf. Paws hit the ground and she sprinted into the forest, hearing someone cry out for help.
Approaching an opening she came across a woman being pinned down in the dirt by a guy at least twice her size. Growling when he raised his hand to the girl, she lurched forward and bit his arm causing the girl fell back to the ground and smashed her head on a rock. The man cried out in pain and removed his knife from his boot and sliced her across the side of her mouth. Whimpering she released him and he took off running in the opposite direction, clinging his arm as blood spilling out.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she tried to lick away the blood that was escaping from her face from where the man had cut her. Beside her the girl whom she saved turned to her and asked, "Are you alright?" Hesitantly she began to reach out but retracted her hand when Red whimpered. "Thank you for saving me. Heaven only knows what would've happened if you didn't show up…" Her kind, blue eyes rolled back into her head and she collapsed onto the ground.
Red nudged her snout against the girl's shoulder, trying to get her back up, but her attempts failed when the girl didn't stir. Cursing herself, Red squirmed beneath her and with all her strength managed to get her positioned on her back. When she had her securely on her back, she began to make her way back to her cottage.
Carefully she got her back into the cottage and laid her down on her bed. She then nuzzled beneath her cloak and felt her body change back into her normal form. Locking up the cottage, she then put a kettle of water over the fire and grabbed a cloth and some fresh water. Going over to the mirror she winced when she saw the long cut from her left cheek bone down through her lips and to her chin. Shaking her head she began to clean up the blood and started to stitch up the cut. Wincing painfully with each stitch she smiled to herself when she finished taking care of it. She then went back over to the girl and sat in a chair beside the bed.
As soon as she sat in the chair, she picked up a fresh cloth and bowl of water and carefully cleaned off the dirt from the girl's face. She didn't know anything about this girl she found in the woods, but she knew she was beautiful. Her long brown locks in her face as she slept. Placing the towel on the rim of the bowl, Red reached out and swept the hair out of her face. Staring down at her, she knew what her wolf wanted. She could hear it howling and going crazy at the sight of her. Shaking her head, she pushed the canine urges back and cleaned up before collapsing back in the chair, and allowing sleep to take over her.
A/N: I told you it was short. Thoughts? Leave a review!
