Class starts.
Kagome sits in her seat and picks up her black pen. Rather than listening to the professor's spiel on the historical accuracy of Anastasia, she starts daydreaming.
Day one with him:
They're walking hand in hand until Sesshomaru comes to an abrupt halt.
"You forgot to feed your cat again didn't you? That's why we're heading to your house instead of mine, isn't it?" Sesshomaru gave Kagome a critical look as she fiddled with the hem of her sleeves.
"I have cooking supplies. You don't. We'll starve at your place!" That wasn't necessarily true. Sesshomaru's mother was always at his house after school to provide them with packets of frozen goodies ranging from meatloaf to mac-and-cheese.
"That's an excuse."
"Is it a good one?" Because anything she said would be an excuse. The only thing that mattered was if it was good enough.
Kagome liked cooking for him because he seemed to enjoy the food she made him.
"It's decent. I like home cooked food, you provide it. Therefore it should be worthwhile to drop by at your place before mine."
If only her daydreams were good enough. If only her daydreams were decent. But they weren't. So at the end of the day none of it mattered.
The day came to a close as her professor finally ended their lecture on the Cold War. Was she daydreaming for that long?
Kagome watched him walk by with a large group of friends while she walked the opposite way with her best friends, Shippou and Rin by her side.
On to the next class! On to the next scenario she cooked up of her and Sesshomaru. Wistfully she glanced back as he laughed at another joke he threw at his friends.
