"Bull, Camille. You're always telling me how much of a loser I am, and how I'm soooo ugly, and how I need to get a girlfriend. You must really love me."
Camille ignored the last part. "Doesn't mean I hate you..."
"Then WHAT, Cam? Why would you be so abusive? And why'd you ignore the last part I said?" Logan was getting extremely agitated now. He loved Camille, but he was starting to doubt if his feelings were correct.
Camille just sat back in the seat, not answering the questions. The sound of Logan's heart breaking was enough to drive her over the edge.
"Camille? Are you.. alive in there? Is that cold heart still beating?"
"Yes, Logan. Yes it is. And this heart is warm, full of blood and love. You have no idea what I've been through. You... you don't know me! I may be a bitch to you, but you need to realize that I like you, and you need to deal with that. Okay? I like you. Damn."
Logan became speechless. He didn't know what to say, or do. Camille Roberts, saying NICE things to him? No. Way. He wondered if she felt the same way as he did.
"Camille, why.. do you like me? I mean, what do you like about me?"
"Well, I... I think you're really funny. And comforting at times. And you're gorgeous. You've been my bestfriend for as long as I can remember. I like that fighting is our only contact. But I wish it would stop... For once I'd like a hug, or a whisper in my ear, telling me everything's gonna be alright. But no, all you do is hate me, and it hurts. it really, really does, Loge. I want you to be there for me."
Logan's heart shattered. The girl of his dreams, the one who meant anything and everything to him, was hurting, because of HIM.
"Camille, I... I'm sorry... if I had known, I..." he trailed off, his voice starting to crack. He stroked her face softly, and this time she did lean into his touch. She had never felt so alive, so happy, so in love. Time seemed to stop for Camille. She wished this moment could last forever. She turned to look at Logan, confusion battling with happiness; a war in her eyes. Logan, trying to keep his eyes on the road, looked at her, sure to look at her for just a second, but once he caught the sight of her, he couldn't look away. She had never looked so beautiful to him. He smiled that crooked smile she knew he loved, and moved his hand down her arm to her hand, where he entwined his fingers with hers.
This was it, he thought. This was the moment he had been waiting for his entire life. Logan Mitchell was going to confess his love for Camille Roberts. She smiled back at him, staring at him with only love in her eyes.
"Camille? Camille, I lo-"
Sounds of screeching and metal colliding with metal filled the air, and then silence.
They were finally at peace.
