After "A" was revealed Aria hadn't heard a word from Ezra, and he hadn't returned her calls or texts either, but it wasn't the fact that Ezra hadn't called her that bugged her, it was the fact that Jason DiLaurentis who she hadn't really talked to since the whole "I'm not available"-thing had called her several times to ask how she was doing… No, it wasn't that either, it was the fact that when she was talking to Jason the thought "Ezra" hadn't crossed her mind even once.
Chapter 1
Back at school after the two weeks the girls got off, she ran in to Jason for the first time since that incidence in his front yard with Ezra... Literally ran into. In her car on the way to school she swore that she had seen his car in front of her's, and she also swore that she had pulled up to the parking lot right after him, and that he had rushed in without even looking at her. She was sure that he had seen her, or at least her car in his mirror.
After lunch on her way to her fifth period she asked her mom if Jason was back as a counselor for good, and he was. From her fifth period to her sixth she rushed to her locker without noticing the people around her and ran right in his chest, it kind of looked like he was standing in front of her locker waiting for her. Before she even knew it was him, a million of thoughts rushed through her brain. First she thought it was Jason, but what would he do in front of her locker? HER locker? Of every locker at Rosewood High it was her locker. When she found the courage to lift her head to see who it was she gave his green eyes a gaze his and heard him say "Hey… Aria" in a very nervous tone. "I was hoping to run in to you" She didn't know how to respond so she just said the first words that came to her head; "Is that why you're standing in front of my locker waiting for me to get from class?" The first thought that rushed to her head was "I really lack a filter between my brain and my mouth." He laughed carefully with his perfect smile as he said "Yeah, I know that's kind of creepy, but I've been wanting to see you" and suddenly he didn't have that nervous tone anymore, like her making him laugh made their old connection, if you could call it that, come back. From that, the conversation just went on;
"So I haven't heard from you in a couple of days" she said.
"No, I know, I've been thinking a lot about what we've been talking about lately" he responded with a smile on his face, like he was happy with the thoughts he had come up with. "Oh, say, what was those thoughts?" she said with an intention behind the words.
"The first thing I thought about was that you haven't talked about that boyfriend of yours since the first time I called you after the masquerade." It was getting easier and easier to talk for every word they said. And even though they were standing in the hallway in her high school and his workplace, it felt like it were just the two of them. She knew what to respond before he had even finished the sentence; "I know, I've actually been thinking a lot about us too, and I don't think there is a boyfriend anymore, I haven't heard from him since the night of the masquerade." Jason was getting happier and happier for every word she said and he was about to say something but Aria interrupted his first word, "So the thoughts you've been doing about us, do you think it's the same thoughts I've had?" He didn't stumble in the words as he raised his eyebrow as he always did when he knew what to say, "I guess we have to find out about that one" Aria didn't have an opportunity to answer, because Jason was already on his way from her locker when he was done with that sentence.
