"Ah fuck, fuck, fuck!" Link cursed as he ran away.

He absolutely hated cuccos. He loathed them! He wasn't even being intentional! He was just trying to cut down some grass and the damned creature had to drop in just as he swung his sword!

And then cry for help.

Link lifted his shield and ran even faster as a swarm of the damned creatures followed him. He felt a beak scratch his face, a claw against his thigh, and then they surrounded him. Shit!

The hero curled up into a ball and covered his face, he closed his eyes and hoped that his clothes would at least be decent by the time their anger was subdued.

He head another cry of a cucco before the swarm was gradually moved away from him. Link looked around, but he could only see the moving swarm. Thanking the goddesses Link ran into the nearest house – Impa's – he closed the door, glanced at the windows before closing them and left out a hefty sigh. But then, he sensed something and he turned around to see a very ruffled Sheik.

Link fell down and looked up at the Sheikah in shock, and took in his appearance – his bandages were loose around every place they wrapped and several feathers stuck out from the ones on his head. The one eye looked down at him sternly and he crossed his arms.

"I hope you're happy Hero."

A blush took over Link's face and he looked down guiltily. Did Sheik just… attack one of the cuccos in order to save him?

"S-Sorry… and uhh thanks…" He said softly.

A hand cupped his cheek and lifted his face so that he looked back at Sheik. "Let's get those injuries treated." His hand dropped from Link's face to be held out for assistance.

Link's cheeks darkened and he took the hand before they walked over to the table.

"You can kill deku babas, skulltulas, and giant moblins but you have trouble with mere cuccos?" The Sheikah said as he bandaged the worst of the wounds inflicted by the creatures from hell.

"B-But Sheik!" Link started to protest, but once he met that red gaze that sparkled with bemusement he stopped as a weird sensation took over his chest.

"There we go. Looks like I've got it all." He said.

"U-uh… thanks…" Link said, flustered and unable to come up with anything intelligent.

His face was cupped again before he realized Sheik had leaned in closely.

"Hmm." Sheik said with a scrutinizing gaze. "Looks like I missed a spot."

And the next thing he knew was that there were soft, warm lips on his.

"I certainly can't bandage those." The words were said immediately after before there was a flash of light.

Link lifted his fingers to his mouth before biting the very lips that had been 'healed.'

He couldn't remember if a cucco had attacked his lips…
