SPOV

Sometimes it could feel like the world had come crashing down, burrying your mind, causing everything important to seem insignificantly worthless. An eruption of pure disaster, moving through the body, surfacing emotions that had never been felt. Vibrant pain, boiling with rage, a burning sensation that would make your muscles stiffen with ruthless anger.

People you cared for, ones you loved, all eliminated from your thoughts. No place for them in your head, already filled with looming shadows, changing shape every second. Concentrating on your sanity the only thing you can accomplish, regretting you actions, spending time remembering your past.

Desertion.

Exclusion.

Rejection.

Forms of betrayal, similar to knives digging through your flesh. The shock of realization, finally becoming aware of the devastating situation, your friends becoming enemies, your enemies becoming friends.

I gripped the knife handle, cool to the touch, it's steel edges sparkling against the moon's ominous glow. My hand shook with fire, a destructive rage, her betrayal sending jagged spikes spinning through my heart. She had hurt me once, the impassive pattern proving it was purely endless.

Pressing the sharp blade into my skin, I gasped as it cut through my arm, warm blood dripping down my lifeless fingers. I could see into the deep gash, bone ghastly white, red covering the unsuspecting ground.

First came the pain, sturdy as a fist, lightning shooting through my body with a refreshing jolt of electricity. Sparks of colors flashed before my eyes, eerily dull, as if I was seeing them from a distance.

But what happened next was unimaginable, wiping away my cruel sorrows and mindless thoughts.

The world had become clear, crisp and distinct. Worries faded to the background, emotions wiped away, feelings dissapeared. My head was empty, featureless, blank... except for the solid objective that stuck to my mind, impassable.

I was suddenly aware of my surroundings, my purpose, what I was meant to do. Everything was obvious, hesitations eliminated.

Everything was icy.
