[A/N: This is a songfic to Josh Groban's 'Confession'. I thought it fit the
situation so perfectly. And is hysterically funny. Anyways, neither the
song nor the characters belong to me, except for nameless OC. Innit
romantick?]
I have been blind
Unwilling
To see the true love
You're giving...
Legolas stumbled out of the palace into the cool night air. His head was unclear. And it was dark. He had to think, had to get away from everything. She seemed to cloud his mind, to make everything he did and said and thought directed to her... she was so beautiful. He fell to his knees.
I've ignored every blessing
I'm on my knees
Confessing...
He didn't know how he had resisted this long, how he had ignored her alluring glances and provocative clothing. Or her day-glo orange hair. How could anyone ignore such beauty? 'I love her...' he whispered.
Then he stood up. Of course he didn't! She was too common, too plain and shallow. She didn't glow with the natural beauty of the elves. She wasn't the beautiful elf-maid she seemed to be, her beauty was shallow. Especially compared to the new elf-maid in front of him.
That I feel myself surrender
Each time I see your face
I am staggered by your beauty
Your unassuming grace...
"Excuse me, handsome sir, can-eth you-eth direct me to Legolas?"
He smiled.
And I feel my heart is turning,
Falling into place
I can't hide it
Now hear my confession.
"My lady, I am Legolas. And you are the most beautiful elf I've ever seen."
"I thank you-eth."
Legolas turned and led her inside.
'I think I love her...'
