A/N: Hello, computer owners/renters. This is my first story, so I hope you like it. Please ignore any plot holes you find. Seriously, I have an issue with plot holes. Really. They invade my life.

P.S: Yes, I may be copping Katniss and Prim. Big Deal. Get Over it, I've never Written anything like this.

"I come on, Kiddo, I'll be home again before you know it." He whispered as I cried into his new shirt. They were taking my brother into the Hunger Games. They were stealing my family away from me again.

"But what if.." I began.

"I won't. Come on Crysta,' He'd cut me off. I had three minutes to say goodbye to my last family member. They think District 2's all sunshine and glory. It's not. They don't see what's behind the scenes. The murder, the mugging, the crime in general. When you're a peacekeeper, I guess you can get away with almost anything. There are very few good people in District 2. People who wouldn't think twice about mugging a little girl. People who wouldn't think twice about revenge for something 12 years ago. Even so, there are still some good ones out there. Ones like my big brother. Cato smiled at me.

"I've been training since I was your age. I'm not going to die. Honestly."

My tear stained face smiled back. They tried to train me, but I was too... well, clumsy. I got expelled after I dropped a sword on a teacher's toe. Instead they put me in a factory. I hate it, and he hates me being around all those hazardous moving parts and machinery. He can be such a worrier.

"Now, listen," He said, suddenly serious, "while I'm in the games, you have to live with Bruno. He'll make sure that you're alright." I shudder to think about what happens to little girls in dark alleys. I've seen it enough.

"When you get back, we'll be living in victor's village. You'll never have to work or worry another day of your life!" I sobbed, trying to be positive. But how could I? How could I even look at Bruno again? Bruno's a shrimpy little boy, who lives inside his head. He had zero chance out there, and Cato knew it. Did I mention that Cato and Bruno have been vest friend since they were something like Five? Bruno's name was drawn, and Cato couldn't bear to see his best friend decimated any more than he could bear to see me. Sometimes I think he's a wimp, He always takes the easiest route out. The two heavy doors swing open and some peace keepers come in to tell me to leave.

"Cato, promise you'll come back! Promise!" I scream, suddenly upset again.

"I promise, Kiddo! I promise!" He yelled back as the doors swung shut.

I promise. No words have ever been more painful. He didn't win, as you could probably tell. Some girl and her boyfriend from district 12 killed him, pushed him into the mouths of some starving Mutations. And the Capitol broadcasted every single second of it. I watched every single second of my brother's Death
