Sam & Grace Sonnet (10 syllables, 14 lines)
As he sits watching her from the forest,
Waiting impatiently for winter's end,
Air still bleak and chill from the winter's frost,
Suddenly he discerns her from a far,
Watching silently from her icy door
Waiting for him to soon come home to her;
Oh how he wishes she would change this time,
But they've both realized she is the cure…
All at once he relives the memories
Though winter's chill shakes him, he's strong enough
Soon their arms are wrapped around each other
Neither knows where their bodies start or end
They realize this is how it should be…
Together they live in peace without worry.
(For a while anyway…)
