"Thanks for helping me get rid of this junk", Amy said when she brought in some cardboard boxes for her and Ty to put her stuff into. Yesterday she had opened her wardrobe and got caught under an avalanche of clothes and objects, making the decision of cleaning her room then and there. She had found clothing she had not worn for years, stuffed animals she felt too old for and school papers she did not need anymore.
"Are you sure you're okay with me touching all your stuff?" Ty said.
"Well yeah, you are my fiancé, so there's nothing I would like to hide from you", Amy said and sat down to get through a pile of clothes.
"Okay. It's just that I don't really like it when people touch my stuff, so…"
"Well, you're not just anybody", Amy noted. Ty smiled a little.
They went through items in silence, but after a while Amy heard Ty snickering. She looked over her shoulder and shut one of the boxes, using a permanent marker to label it with the word "CLOTHES".
"Whatcha got there?" Amy asked casually and got up. Ty was sitting his legs crossed, leaning over something. Amy frowned and checked what it was over his shoulder.
"I hate him, but he has the greenest eyes and softest smile I've ever seen. It makes me hate him even more", Ty read. The words hit Amy and she realized what he had found.
"You're reading my diary?!"
"You said you don't mind–" Ty said laughing, pulling the journal away from Amy's reach. "You writing about me? Or who is this "bad boy" you're describing with such honesty…?"
"Ty! Gimme that!" Amy laughed, ashamed.
"No, no. I think this might be better than Lou's blog. You don't hold back with the spicy, juicy details…" he teased.
"Ty, come on!" Amy tackled him onto the floor and tried to take the diary away. Ty giggled and tried to fight back as gently as he could. He didn't want to hurt Amy, but giving away the diary was not an option.
"Amy, I want to read the rest, this is great stuff!"
"I was fifteen!" Amy tried to justify herself. She was embarrassed.
"You were adorable…" Ty grinned. Amy was blushing more and more.
"Ty, I swear to god, if you don't gimme that, I–" she threatened him playfully.
"Okay, okay. I will give it back, but it's gonna cost ya."
Amy was on top of Ty and looked down on him. They were both out of breath and blushing from the wrestling.
"What…?"
"A kiss."
"You're so predictable…" Amy shook her head.
"So… how's it gonna be? A kiss or the diary…?" Ty gave her something to choose from. Amy looked up to the diary, knowing the pages only got worse as she had fallen more in love with Ty.
"Fine", Amy agreed and leaned in to kiss him. It wasn't a hard task, but she didn't like being bargained. "Now… the diary, please."
Ty handed it to her, hesitantly.
"It could be a best seller, you know…"
Amy got up, holding the diary.
"That's it - no kisses for you tonight", Amy blackmailed.
"Hey! Not fair!" Ty said and sat up.
"You were pushing it…" Amy grinned and walked few steps away from him.
"I'm sorry…" Ty apologized. "You can't deny the kisses just because I said you were cute."
"You said more than that", Amy reminded, making sure she would hide the diary from Ty's hands better this time.
"Fine… Be that way", Ty laughed and turned to see what else he could find from her drawer. "Hmm… What's this then? Your school pictures…?" he took out a photo album.
"No! Ty, no!" Amy attacked him again.
"Nothing to hide you said…" Ty teased.
"Ty…!"
