Patch Cipriano was in all senses of the word, unimpressed. This girl across the street was absolutely nothing of consequence and ccertainly not special in any way. Plain-Jane brown hair and all together boring grey eyes. No, this girl had utterly failed to catch the fallen's attentions.

The once angel let out an aggravated and bored sound as he continued to survey the girl. Nora and her friend, who's name escapes him, were sitting at a cafe directly across the street. The pudgy one, damnit what was her name? Vee. That's it. Vee sat there, stuffing her face full with whatever disgusting slop she had ordered and managing to go on ranting about something that her companion seemed utterly disinterested in.

It was then that Patch noticed Nora's attention was somewhere completely different. Somewhere he didn't like at all. Nora's attention was not on her gulliable friend, but on him. Patch hissed under his breath in annoyance, nothing could ever be easy.

He quickly bottled his anger and shot the grey eye'd girl his most charming smirk before getting up and stalking away in some random direction. Deciding to ignore her indignant scoff.

Here they were again. The delecacy was donuts this time around. Patch's fingers built up a rythmic motion of tapping against the tree bark. He was farther down the street this time, in the shade of an oak tree. He didn't want a repeat of his last little scouting mission.

-Slight time skip-

It was dark outside by the time the teenagers had decided to leave their favorite hangout, Nora insisting she could walk home.

"It's just down the road a ways. I have to drop some books off at the library."

Vee sighed and shot a half-hearted glare. "Fine," Vee sighed again. "but if you get raped by a hot guy, call me immediantly." With a wink and a flurry of her hair, Vee was gone soon enough.

No, actually. Patch thought. Nowhere near soon enough.

It was about 2 blocks from the library that Patch noticed he wasn't the only one hot on Nora's trail. Patch narrowed his eyes across the street. About a metre behind Nora, there was a man. He must have been dense because he was dressed as a typical mugger and had a creepy smirk.

The angel rolled his eyes and held back the snort of disdain. Silently, he creeped over to the man. Sticking behind him for a good few minutes, checking on Nora every now and then. It wasn't until they were right outside the library that the man got too close for comfort.

Patch promptly grabbed the back of the assailents shirt and shoved him against the side of a building. Sticking a hand over his mouth and willing them both invisible. After a few weary glances around, Nora proceeded on her forward march. Once she was safely out of hearing range, the mugger was thrown into an adjacant garbage can.

Groaning and bleeding slightly, the mugger said, "Dear God."

Patch smirked. "Not quite."

He couldn't help the loathing of the girl that was slowly creeping into his bloodstream as he watched her read some silly little textbook. Aside from the fact Vee had begged and pleaded to do something fun, with retorts of, "but it's SUMMER." Nora had insisted on studying.

Foolish little girl. Patch thought, There's no need to study. You'll be dead by the end of the year. He shook his head and turned away from the large farmhouse, starting a treck into the woods.

He still wasn't impressed.
